A note from Dr. Worley:

My connection with audiology is personal; I have had hearing loss since childhood. My passion is to see better hearing lead to better quality of life for those with hearing loss! Success with amplification is best achieved with early intervention for both children and adults. We are the professionals who get to educate our communities and make the gift of hearing and communicating a long-lasting reality!

My first experience with audiology was through a hearing aid dispenser. He taught me a great deal about hearing aids, fit me with my first set, and mentored me into becoming a hearing aid dispenser myself. I was only 18 years old at that time. I was completing my BS degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences at the same time. A few years after graduation, I had traveled and contemplated other career paths, but when I ultimately stepped back into a sound booth I knew I needed to return to the world of sound and hearing. I knew that I needed to expand my knowledge base though, to better service patients, so I enrolled into the graduate program of audiology at the University of Arizona.

10 years later (5 years of dispensing experience and 8 years of formal education), I was excited to be entering a fulfilling career as a doctor of audiology and now, I have wonderful relationships with patients and their families and love seeing the positive impact of clear sound and better hearing with every satisfied smile on the faces in my office.
